I’ve never really considered undertaking any endurance cycling events before but the lure of riding 100km through the streets of London at night proved too tempting.  I have signed up to take part in Nightrider in June and I’m very excited!  I have availed myself of a charity place fundraising and riding for Limbpower.  Although I cycle to work regularly, an event distance of this magnitude will be a significant challenge and one that I will have to prepare for thoroughly.  Without my ITAP I would be very concerned about how my prosthetic and stump would cope with the required preparation and actually taking part in the event.  I am very fortunate that ITAP has negated the need for this worry and ‘all’ I need to do is get fit enough to cycle 100km!
