I am hoping that 2012 will be an excellent year for me both personally and in an adventurous-sense. After a fairly quiet 2011, perhaps suffering somewhat from a post-Kilimanjaro malaise, my group of friends didn’t get up to an awful lot walking. In the coming year however, we aim to make amends!
In January we’re going to extend our skills to include winter mountaineering in Scotland in preparation for an attempt on the snowy mountains of southern Morocco in February. We then have a full programme of walks as preparation for Trailwalker’s 100km challenge in July which includes a circumnavigation of Jersey sometime in June. I also have a hankering for some sort of endurance cycling event to put my commuting to use. The adventure calender for the latter half of 2012 remains disappointingly bare but for my wife and I the biggest adventure of them all should start in late May as we our due to become parents!
There’s lots to look forward to….
