Visual Adventure: Ontario, Canada
It's not hard to fall in love with Canadian culture, so take a trip around Ontario, meet the people, take in the scenery and explore the expansive shoreline.
For a crash course in Canada history, adventure and culture take a trip to Ontario. Ontario hugs the Great Lakes, and an impressive amount of the province has a shoreline. Almost all of the border between it and the United States is made up of lakes and rivers, and there are a lot of great travel opportunities along the water. At Niagara Falls, you can see the true power of the Niagara River as it roars over the famous waterfalls and connects two of the Great Lakes.
Toronto is the largest city in Ontario, and has all the culture you could ever want in a city. From prestigious museums, music, and every dining experience you could want. A smaller city, but equal in charm, is the Canadian capital of Ottawa. Not only does it have the houses of Parliament, it also has the Rideau Canal - a UNESCO World Heritage Site you can actually ice skate on in the winter.
Even though Ontario is the most populous province in Canada, there are plenty of places to get out of the city. Algonquin Provincial Park is one of the best. Spend some time here and you are sure to hear the call of the loon and fall in love with your surroundings.
