I have recently got around to acting on a long held intention to offer my services as a helper in a local Scout troop. As a younger person I had great fun as a cub, scout and venture scout and am now in a position to be able to help offer that opportunity to others. I also hope that in time my son (yet to be born so slightly presumptuous!) will enjoy the sort of activities offered by the scouting movement so I really should get involved.
Once again ITAP has motivated me to act. Prior to my implant surgery I had wanted to get involved with the scouting movement but had hesitated as I didn’t think that my contribution would be particularly useful. With the newly regained abilities offered by ITAP I can make a full contribution to all areas of scouting including outdoor and adventurous activities – get in!
After only a few months of involvement I was lucky enough to be asked to help out at camp and we joined the associated cub pack for a long weekend.
Great fun was had by all I hope…
