First puncture with new bike

Made a note in my diary on the way to work, simply says: “Bug**r”.

Prior to choosing my new bike I naturally read several reviews on the internet. A common complaint was that the standard tyres fitted by ‘Specialised’ are prone to punctures and I have collected my first. Fortunately I overcame my initial instinct to push my bike the rest of the way to work when I remembered that I had the where-with-all to fix the problem – phew. This was the first time I’ve removed a rear wheel with a quick release axle and a disc brake – what a breeze! I have experienced various technical issues with the method of attaching my external prosthetic to the ITAP – I wonder if it wouldn’t be a bad idea to borrow from the technology of the bicycle quick release?
